Resources for Tribes

Advocacy and resources for infrastructure development

USN's Mission

United Sovereign Nations' is a 501(c)3, Indian-owned non-profit, to promote tribal sovereignty through Tribal Nations’ inherent right to determine and develop their own Nations’ cultural, legal, and technological infrastructures. Devoted entirely to empowering tribal nations to self-determine their own developments, we are non-denominational in politics or religion.

USN's leadership is committed to empowering our tribal communities by promoting self-determination and developing their own critical infrastructures as defined by the individual tribal nations. Presently, many Nations are united in their goals to increase technological availability. Due to the dramatic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, society has become much more reliant on technology, particularly broadband in order to access the internet. This has put a spotlight on the striking digital divide that exists across Indian Country as compared to most areas of the US. Because of this, many of our communities are at a tremendous disadvantage in terms of access to healthcare via telehealth channels, online education for our youth, banking and commerce, access to important news and resources as well as simply staying connected with friends and family when travel became less safe and accessible.

Due to these circumstances, USN is focused on aligning resources to mitigate these long-standing discrepancies. As every situation is unique, our involvement often begins with a full assessment of natural and human resources as well as competing visions, deploying experts to answer questions specific to the Nations, coalition-building strategy training and mediation, as well as funding applications and grant writing.
